Quite clear David Oxenham lacks the internal fortitude to meet with these people. Hope new Councillors note lack of communication between Council Department Heads and the public in general. A policy of communicate or leave should be adopted.

A letter in the local paper changed the attitude of Tweed Shire Council towards a meeting with them and two representatives of Ecofishers had a meeting with Tweed Shire Management on Wednesday 24th. Council was more receptive than on other occasions which allowed for better discussion.
Council offered suggestions of what would be need to be done to open the intertidal area at Wooyong Nature Reserve and also other approaches to Councillors. ECOfishers representatives will now take these  to National Parks and local councillors.

Sounds like a promising development, well done and good luck.
