As, I noted above there will always be a lot of hard yards to do, there are others out there doing them but their efforts, thoughts or opinions may not gel with others, thats democracy, but what else was that fix and could it have been achieved?
What I do know is the conservation movement do a number of things a whole lot better than we do, go have a look at their chat rooms, see what they say, look at what else they do and how they market themselves etc. Then step outside our square (rec fishers), and have a look back in, in the same sense at what we do, let you form your own opinion on what you see.
There are not many of us who in this advocacy game can hang up our differences and try and work with others towards a solution to an issue. Lets find a solution and put together a plan to take control, and implement it slowly, as thats what change needs. Put away the egos and personalities and stop comparing who can piss up the wall the highest.
Reminds me of many years ago, standing around in a group seeing who can hold a sizzling bunger the longest before it exploded. I know, it wasn?t a pretty sight when a mate went to far. He lost the use of his fingers, and we all got the parental handout of olden times.
So will it be our down fall or not? Why not follow the Recfish Australia moto of 'one voice', lets change our approach and direction, get control and move forward is what I support, so we call all make a difference together.
Nforcr, drop us a line would like to have a chat and see if we can help out, as I have stated it is a hard road but we do have some thoughts and setting some direction.
PS Nete-quette, it dumped my typed reply again when I went to spell check, thus back to my otherways.
