ECOfishers MEETING WITH NEW POLICY ADVISOR:

  ECOfishers, the voice of NSW recreational fishers, has been invited by the Fisheries Ministry, to meet with the new fisheries "policy advisor." The meeting will take place on Thusday, January 31st, and will canvas and discuss, current recreational fishers' issues. CEO Ken Thurlow, has agreed to represent NSW recreational fishers, at this important meeting.  There are so many issues and the Minister knows, the natives are restless! The curious proposed "restructure" of the Compliance Staff, was just one such issue, where NSW recreational fishers, through ECOfishers, drew a line in the sand.
  The "no extension - no additions," to Grey Nurse shark critical habitat sites, was another in recent months, where ECOfishers made personal representations, on your behalf, directly to the Minister and won!
