ECOFISHERS (and others) I'll post details of the new distances and prohibitions for our commercial colleagues, just as soon as time permits.
I just wonder if local commercial fishing families, like Vince Jordan and Co. of South West Rocks, are entitled to any compensation from the Government, now that their commercil fishing is all share managed. We all certainly hope so!

MAGIC POINT COMMERCIAL FISHING CLOSURE - EFFECTIVE FROM 16/11/07.
No set lines, hand held lines, drift lines, or any other fishing line, rigged with any bait, including natural or artificial, for 500m from MHW mark, around Magic Point.
Burleying: No burleying in all waters from 500m (no line zone) for another 500m, making a total of 1000m (1km) centred around Magic Point.
All co-ordinates are WGS 1984 datum.

GREEN ISLAND - FISH ROCK AND CORRIDOR COMMERCIAL FISHING CLOSURE EFFECTIVE FOR 5 YEARS FROM 16th MAY 2008.
No set lines, hand held lines, drift lines, or any other line rigged with bait, including natural or artificial bait.
Applies to all waters from MHW mark and extending 1000m (1km) in all directions, around Green Island and Fish Rock and including all waters within 1000m (1km) of a connecting line extending between the closest extremities of Green Island and Fish Rock.
BURLEYING: No berleying in all waters extending 500m beyond the 1000m (1 km) zone described above.
NB: These regulations apply ONLY to commerial fishers. CEO.
