Hi guys, Just checked the last ACoRF meeting minutes and saltwater trust expenditure for current year. Interesting to note where the vast majority of your license money goes - DPI inhouse research. So the government appointed reps send the trust (your license) money to the DPI bureaucrats and get reappointed and send the trust (your license) money to the DPI bureaucrats and get reappointed and send the trust (your license) money to the DPI bureaucrats and get reappointed and send the trust (your license) money to the DPI bureaucrats and get reappointed and send the trust (your license) money to the DPI bureaucrats and get reappointed........... The self appointed representative of recreational fishers in Port Stephens who does not actually represent any fishers from Port Stephens, I have not met one single fisho in the town that actually agrees with stinkers comments in the local media, he rubbishes any real fair dinkum rec fisho in the whole state by his wholesale support of Sanctuary zoning.

Hang on fellas. ACoRF is the ministers special committee of experts. (No, I didn't say drips under pressure - but that's exactly what they are!) They advise him on ALL matters relating to recreational fishing and fishers. How many of you heard about the "Proposed Compliance Restructure," (dated September 2007) from ACoRF? Last time I spoke with one of them (October 2007) they didn't know a thing about it. So I referred him to our website. I told him if he wanted to know anything about recreational fishing or recreational fishers, it was all posted on our website. NOW ACoRF IS GETTING THEIR INFORMATION FROM ECOFISHERS WEBSITE !! HOW ABOUT THAT !! AT LEAST THE MINISTER WILL NOW BE GETTING THE RIGHT INFORMATION..... at last! CEO.

What a site. Information truth, discussions and most of all scientific solutions about fishers requests and fishing grounds. Should we tell NSW Assistant Environment Minister Verity Firth about the site at www. ecofishers.com or continue to let her destroy any credibility this government and the ncc might have? Maybe she could also learn about the credibility of Academics criticises. How big is the debt for green preferences that got Verity, with a 39% primary vote into Parliament?

Have you been notified about an impending vacancy or two on ACoRF?

I nominate ECOfishers Ken Thurlow to replace the No Credibility Council's Megan Kessler. What the hell was an extreme Green doing on a recreational fishers committee anyway?

.......the answer is that a nomination from the NCC (No Credibility Council) is required under the Fisheries Management Act 1994 to ACoRF. Sounds like a cosy little "left wing" deal to me!

HEY! Does the NCC (No Credibility Council) invite representatives from NSW recreational fishers, (eg ECOfishers) onto their committees? Not bloody likely!! In the ECOfishers restructure of the minister's ACoRF, there won't be one chair for any extreme Greens or NCC representatives. There aren't many of them anyway. Would they have a dozen members? Can't have. That's why they need Labor Party funding - from our taxes! Why the hell would you have extreme Green representation, who are zealously campaigning to ban recreational fishing, on a recreational fishing committee?? Beats me! A cosy "left wing" deal for sure!

We all wonder how long "the current chair," (of ACoRF) has been the chair? Now a question for you all to ponder and decide. In the restructure of ACoRF do you all want an independent "appointed," chairperson or an elected chair, a chair elected every three (3) years by the representative and democratically elected delegates? Think about it and post your ideas here. We are open to all suggestions and ideas. After all it will be YOUR restructured representative body - one that you elect! And that will be a major change, for the long suffering recreational fishers of NSW.

Fisheries Minister announces the closure of Gaden Trout Hatchery, a core government responsibility. Macadonald apparently considers it a liability. Maybe he has caved in to the greenies yet again. Greenies consider trout a feral (introduced) fish in our waterways and would love to get rid of them and leave highland fishers with no fishery at all in those places. ACoRF does a deal with their Minister (he appointed all of them!) whereby ACoRF uses at least $417,000 of our licence fees (at the moment) to "rescue" the governments trout hatchery. And Macdonald laughs all the way to the bank! No widespread consultation or negotiations with the states recreational fishers who dutifully supply the funds, the ministers ACoRF fiddles with - just a panicked response and throw some more of our money Macdonald's way. We all now wonder whether Macdonald will try the same three card trick on his ACoRF, with the Dutton Trout Hatchery at Ebor and the Aquaculture and Research Station at Junction Hill near Grafton. And will his ACoRF fall for the same trick a second and third time??? Sounds like another serious case of "YES MINISTER!"

Curiously, ACoRF sent a representative (on the quiet) to the ECOfishers marine park public rally at South West Rocks. Pity they hadn't sent that Stinker Clark bloke to get a real fair dinkum feel of what 635 recreational fishing families think of his marine parks and then he would be able to speak with some authority about them and the public's perception of them. It would have seriously fogged up his lenses. But then again he was at the big Port Stephens rally also and got a scientific lesson. So he must still be in a state of denial if he still says marine parks are a great thing for the biodiversity and community. Spineless individual appointed by his minister to represent NSW recreational fishers.

Stinker Clark was with his good mate and Acorf companion Charlie Howe fishing the Tweed as reported in the Tweed Daily News. Maybe planning for a Marine Park . We all know Charlies political sway.

I know Charlie. He wouldn't want a marine park on the Tweed. He is far too well informed for that. I'll bet he understands the science and knows what NSW recreational fishing families right across the state think and know of, the government marine parks. Wasn't that a Labor held seat they lost at the last election over the Cape Byron Political Park?
