The Labor seat of Lake Macquarie too has fallen. Held by Labor for more than 50 years the seat was officially lost today (4/4/07) to the Independent, Mayor Piper. It has been Labor heartland for many, many years. When will the penny drop for this arrogant Sydney centric government? Two seats the've lost in that area, Port Stephens and now Lake Macquarie. Great decision to all the locals in that area.
