Perhaps you could ask the UN for some funding to clean up the mess....after all when Howard signed the Agenda 21 agreement in the first term of his government the Tweed Shire became the study model for Australia...

With all due respect....we have a lot more to clean up than just bait bags and fish hooks.....Educate yourself about the BIG picture and where all these New laws that bind us are coming from......and then write another letter to the paper demand an explanation from the government as toi why we were never told.

Well, well. Thousands of fish hooks on a sandy beach? Now if that isn't typical extreme Green misrepresentation, misinformation and exaggeration, I don't know what! ECOfishers have never claimed recreational fishers don't have an impact on the environment. No-one can use any environment without having some impact. What we have always contended, is that by comparison, family recreational fishers have negligible impact on the BIODIVERSITY, compared with some types of high impact commercial fishing eg ocean trawling. ECOfishers harvest humanely and sustainably and leave only footprints! (even that is a visible impact!)

I think the Greenies need to wake up and realise they have been incited to publicly respond  (used)  specifically to implement international legislation that will bring more destruction than good to our Aussie environment

When this legislation was signed by Howard there was no Free Trade Agreement (privatisation) or the expanded Eco laws which are now used to implement the global takeover....Eco laws that feed upon the complaints of the overt Green's movement as a means of writing these laws into our Australian systems.  The Greenie are to dazed to realise Government took their words as licence to change our laws into the monster that now kicks us back......the media keep on publishing these Green winers comments and the government keeps on writing laws to facilitate the AGENDA 21.
Dazed Greenies have no consideration for ripple effect of their ACTIONS.....TOO DAZED TO REALISE THEY EMPOWER THE VERY THING THEY PROFESS TO ABHORE.....I think the biggest Hooks and Bait Bags polluting our Head-lands Man, are the ones the government dangle in front of the Dazed Masses,  and they are the ones we should concentrate on cleaning up....
make these issues election issues....educate the dazed masses on the gov's abuse of media propaganda to implement bad laws....demand disclosure....
and vote out the ship ratz.....
