Mr Newell again misrepresents ECOfisher what was said was that pressure was being put on the  Hastings Point rock Platform because ot the Byron Bay political marine park. Hastings Point is one of a very few rock platforms left for fishers between Tweed Heads and Byron Bay no wonder it is being used extensively by the public

Newell is just doing what Warren mundine tells him too....Mundine is the national president of the ALP....Mundine is also the CEO of the nSW Native Title services....and the ALP's native title claimants are the ones signing off on the marine parks....the proposed marine park at Tweed is a spin off of the Gold Coast native Title claim currently in the Federal courts in Qld......only proplem is that the claimants arn't able to produce the required proof to get a native title awarded...Newell knows this....He knows that the bundjalung are not from the Tweed....he knows that the Ngarakwal are the only real aboriginal tribe from the Tweed Byron Area...thats Ngarakwal, NOT arakwal.....the Arakwal is a bogus invention of the ALP and Newell knows this also......
that is why he and Waren and Cohen pushed to get a new Aboriginal lands rights Bill through in early dec 06...just before all the announcments of the marine parks in NSW to be ratified in MARCH.....the native title failed...so they had to write new laws....
Newell knows this had to happen,  because he has been provided with tonnes of evidence to show that the ngarakwal are the real deal......but the ALP won't recognise them beacuse the ngarakwal won't sign off as the ALP's corporate real estate brokers......or lock up our public waters in marine parks......
What is ammusing about Newell is his ignorance of the l,aws he has too abide by... such as any parliamentarian who is given information but fails to act on it can be sacked......or Under Commonweralth law the Queen can lop his head off....long live the Queen "OFF WITH HIS HEAD M'AM....OFF WITH HIS HEAD".....
