TWEED  FISHERS:  What we all need now is a map of the "protected area." Does it include the sand spits, in and along Cudgera Creek, where locals and tourists pump their yabbies? Why not phone Tweed Shire Council, (02/66 702 400) and enquire and complain. But remember they are merely the messanger. This appalling situation came about, because of a secret deal done between the Greens and Labor. Out with the old and in with the new!

1/3/07:  Twed Shire Council officers confirm as yet there are NO boundaries for the newly gazetted "Coastal Reserve," (No harvesting of any bait) on and adjacent to Hastings Point! Labor's Dept of Lands has only just been asked to draw up a map! Now if that doesn't sound like ad hoc and policy making on the run, I've never encountered a worse case! The Regulation was gazetted 3 days BEFORE Labor's Kelly announced it! The deal was all done and stitched up in backroom meetings between Labor and the Greens. How can we trust them? A fair go for recreational fishers. Out with the old and in with the new.

PS.   TWEED ECOFISHERS  have already been advised that a Coalition government will IMMEDIATELY reverse this secret and shonky decision and conduct a thorough site-specific scientific investigation and extensive public consultation into the proposal. So it will have to sink or swim on its merits......not on secret Green deals for exclusive use! Sounds totally fair and reasonable to me. After all, we the citizens of NSW OWN the resource and we elect (well we used to!) governments to manage it for us! Not give it away without any public consultation whatsoever!

The reclassification appears to be in line with UN Agenda 21 - Chapter 17 - protection of the Marine environment
http://www.un.org/esa/sustdev/documents/agenda21/english/agenda21chapter17.htm

At the time of Australia signing this UN agreement we had no legislation to facilitate it happening
how do we get new legislation?
We lobby....
in the case of the Greens, they chant mantras for Saving the Planet man.....lock up hastings point to save the Planet man
And write a few more laws to be transfered to other regions to lock them up too,  man.

maybethe Greens have chanted this because that other UN affiliate, Cheney (USA Minister for WAR) who is the CEO of Halliburton  did a deal with the Greens to build a new sewer in Byron Bay to process all the development....check it out at www.byronbay.org/?p=166

And Tabart (Greens candidate) who signed the Halliburton deal in Byron has already agreed to preference to Labour AGAIN.......

These election deals linked to international laws that will take over our unique Aussie lifestyle and culture is happening thanks to the mindless drones chanting the Save the planet vote for us mantras, just like the warlords want them too....
Halliburton mine the Uranium and make it weapons grade, and then they provide aid to victims of war....talk about convening both ends of the market eh?
Seems they have been manipulating the UN into writing legislation that takes control of our seas....
These guys are like the BORG on Star trek....YOU WILL BE ASSIMULATED.....RESISTANCE IS FUTILE......

IT MIGHT JUST BE QUIET LITTLE HASTINGS POINT, HAVEN ON TWEEED, BUT THE INFECTION THAT THREATENS IT IS SPREADING...

DON'T VOTE GREEN/ALP ........JOIN THE FISHING AND RECREATION  PARTIES , BRING ON THE INDEPENDANTS & get the coallitions written stement that they will reverse the gazettal process....oh and "Viva the revolution man"....Ra ra ricketty ra!!!

HASTINGS POINT CLOSURE is NOT a Fisheries initiative. All the wheeling and dealing was done by the Greens in backroom deals with Labor. The gazettal was done under some obscure provision in the Crown Lands Act, by Labor's minister Tony Kelly. He would have been told what to do by the Sussex St. "Mafia."

We need a meeting on the rock platform at Hastings Point. There is being a great deal of damage done by classes walking on the coral. Bait & food gathers have always been attacked by the Greens. Will they now have a look at the damage being done by people , students in heavy shoes and boots walking on this fragile rock platform. They will with the result being lock it up and throw away the  key

Latest Green literature has it that Hastings Point Rock platform is to be turned into a marine park.  According to available literature Tony Kelly has evidently negotiated deal with Green representative. How much will be Sanctuary Zoned?
