Attached Photos to highlight how ineffective Marine Parks are. Behind the sign is a one metre diameter unfiltered storm water drain emptying right onto the beach and rocks. The sign has been there two years the drain more than twenty.

Typical Spiney, of their vendetta against family recreational fishers. They ignore the real impacts and attempt to con the community that by locking-up huge areas and locking fishers out, they are protecting our marine biodiversity and associated ecosystems. Terrestrial ecologists have no role or place in managing our marine environment!
ECOfishers had to get quite stroppy with the MPA in Port Stephens, for them to even acknowledge there was an acid sulphate run-off problem in Anna Bay! Now thanks to ECOfishers vigorous representations, some remedial work is being undertaken! And they have the hide to call these "marine protected areas!" Who are they trying to kid?
What do you think of ECOfishers submission on behalf of NSW recreational fishers? As a keen and influential recreational fisher, does it meet your expectations?

ECOfishers have claimed Labor/Greens "marine parks are based on shonky science and rubbery data," since 2002. Our scientific view is about to be re-confirmed, yet again!
