ATTENTION MURF & CO. You are referring to the ECOfishers Coffs Rally on Sunday 12th September at the Coffs Harbour Deep Sea Club - 10am. A red letter day for NSW recreational fishers. We are encouraging all to wear something "pink," a pink rally! Pink simbolizes those useless so called "sanctuary zones," which the greenies think are nesting boxes for fish! This is a separate meeting from Prof Kearney's "flying visit,' to meet with the Coffs Coast community. At this rally, they are coming from as far a field as Kempsey and the Tweed coast! Coffs will be stunned! We will get our "percentge," out of thi next ECOfishers rally!

Nothing sad about that Murf. Half your luck. The Coffs rally is another joint initiative between ECOfishers and the Coffs Deep Sea Club, to raise the awareness of the marine park issue among the local community. The MPA have had all the say for years. Now it's the fishers turn. The MPA is proposing to increase the so called "sanctuary zones," in the government's Solitary Is marine park from 12% to 20% - a 66% increase just like that! Thee is no scientific evidence whatsoever to support this grab by the MPA. So we a re showing the community that and sending a message to the Labor government and greens we are no push over. It really is the same old question of should these massive increases be determined by science or political ideology? To date and all across the state, it is political ideology and political expediency that is driving these Labor government initiatives. And ECOfishers has had a gutfull of it!

boat ramp closed would that be because there will be no room because there will be 300 boats sitting on trailers? have talked to a few close friends around the Woolgoolga area and they are going to the boat rally a shame its on that weekend as I am sure a few of our partners in QLD would have come down too but they will be at Agnes Water/1770 too

Professor Bob Kearney, has agreed to do an interview on Coffs Harbour ABC radio at 8:45 am on Monday morning, 6th September. We know fishersand their families don't listen to ABC anywhere across the state, because of perceived bias. And that bias goes back to before GNS days when they continually ran the greeny line of fewer than 300, in the East Coast population. That bias has continued thru' the government's marine park saga. So you just might like to tune briefly, and hear Prof Kearney, and even phone in after. The greenies certainly will. They've got all day!

Three hundred boats at the Coffs Deep Sea boat ramp for our rally, Murf? Is that called transfer of effort?

Looking forward to seing heaps of recreational and commercial fishers, whether you be rock & beach, deep sea, estuary or freshwater fishers at the Prof Bob Kearney meeting, at the Coffs Deep Sea Club tomorrow night. The presentation starts at 7 pm and Prof Kearney can answer any of your scientific questions. Your chance of a lifetime, to meet and greet, this world renown marine scientist! Don't be hoodwinked by the MPA's green myths and government ideology! Hear the real scientific facts from a real scientist! Hear the real state of our fisheries resources, from real expert. Hear what the real problems are. And they are not overfishing! Professor Kearney will explain and outline the real issues impacting upon our marine biodiversity and associated ecosystems - and it's not as the greenies claim. Not by a long shot! Their claims are unscientific, unnecessary and unjustified. Their so called "science," is from overseas and hence irrelevant to NSW! The greenies want you banned from your recreation and livelihood! Fishing in NSW, is as old as the First Fleet. Botany Bay was initially called "Stingray Bay." Are you going to be hoodwinked by shonky science and rubbery data? BE THERE TO BE INFORMED!

was great to put a face to your name Ken and also met RATSACK a very informative night that opened up the eyes of a lot of ordinary fisher people a good roll up so do bigger fish have bigger eggs? and are their genes better than smaller fish??? I always found medium size Redclaw crayfish in my ponds to be more fecund than the older ones

Standing room only at the Prof Kearney ECOfishers presentation at the Copffs Harbour Deep Sea Club. What a venue. What a Club. What a crowd! Fishers, university students, marine scientists, fisheries biologists and a bevy of the extremists. Now they didn't like what they heard! But as one wit announced - "You can't argue with sound science!" It was a great night Coffs Harbour. Thank you all very much. And our ECOfishers Kearney meeting made the fronr pages of the Coffs Advocate and the Grafton Examiner on the Tuesday morning. What great publicity for the peak body representing NSW recreational fishers, and our campaign! Well done to all invo;ved. A superb presentation from Prof Kearney and an enthusiastic full house audience. ECOFISHERS - knows how to get things done! ECOFISHERS - makes people part of the solution!
