                                                          LABOR'S QUEER BED FELLOWS !
Bob Brown, that gay greeny politician, now claims he's "lost 90% of our Marlin, Tuna and Snapper , stocks, would you believe.."
What a queer comment ! It's obvious he's never been fishing. So those of you, like me, who are going out on the next weekend or so, to catch a feed for the family, remember to send greeny Brown a message on August 21st, - through the ballot box. Every one of those "messages" counts !
RECREATIONAL FISHERS DON'T TRUST LABOR OR THE GREENS !
                                                    LIES, LOCK-OUTS, SELL-OUTS AND SCANDALS.

The document posted above, (COMMONWEALTH MARINE PROTECTED AREAS DISPLACED ACTIVITIES ANALYSIS) lists who gets what compensation, where, when and why, if you are "locked-out" by Labor's Garrett, with his new Labor Commonwealth Marine Reserves. Interesting slant on charter boat operators and recreational fishes. It all devolves around "property rights," nd it seems the mining companies are the only ones eligible. Labor/Greens have never been interested in recreational fishers anyway.

Typically cowardly and devious of Labor's Garrett. He spruiks in the media about the "science" of his massive marine resreves, yet is unable to produce it! Fishers should be rightfully demanding to see his so called "science," before any further meetings. He hopes to win the election and then impose his marine reserves on reluctant coastal communities straight after, without anyone having seen his so called "science." The betting is, he hasn't got any!
Fishers aren't interested in more of those irrelevant overseas studies or computer modelling! We want to see the real deal. The site specific science, which justifies his offshore, NSW marine reserves!
FISHERS DON'T TRUST LABOR OR THE GREENS!

In journalism, they say a picture is worth a thousand words! Note the "back slapping," in Garrett's photo.

Prime Minister Gillard and Federal Fisheries Minister Tony Burke, received the Northern Star today with their morning coffee. and breakfast.  Both were visiting Lismore to announce more federal spending - pork barrelling. We all wonder will either or both, reply to ECOfishers "disappointment?" At least both got our message!

Judging by recent comments in "letters to the editor," in the Daily Telegraph, there are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation among metropolitan fishers about the real impacts of state marine parks and Commonwealth marine reserves.
Then again, I suppose, if you haven't had one of these political impositions dropped on your coastal community, reluctantly, then you probably don't know what you are really talking about! So called "sanctuary zones," ARE NOT nesting boxes for fish! Only the extreme green preservationists believe that! All our marine species lay pelagic eggs, which are instantly dispersed by  wind, tide, waves and current, etc.
Our city recreational fishing cousins, still, have a lot to learn.
And targetting the commercial fishers also demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of that vital industry.  Any concerns, real or perceived, ought be directed to the government. After all, commercial fishers work to the rules and regulations, set by the government! They are simply doing their job of supplying fresh, cheap, healthy, local seafood, to non-fishing consumers.
The alternative is simply more Basa - freshwater Catfish reared in sewage ponds and imported from Asia.
Clearly, city slickers still have a lot to learn. Makes us all wonder what those metropolitan based so called "peak bodies," have been doing all these years. Obviously nothing - just talking!

GARRETT"S  MARINE  RESERVE  SCIENCE.
Thanks to ECOfishers south coast colleague, Dr Phil Creagh, we have a copy of the so called "science," that underpins Garrett's marine resrves.
AND IT HAS BEEN TOTALLY DISCREDITED !
ECOfishers will post the summary of this shonky science and rubbery data here. The full document (32 pages) may be accessed on our "Scientific Papers," page.  Sea mounts are a prime target to be locked-up and fishers locked-out.
MORE SHONKY SCIENCE AND RUBBERY DATA FROM THE FEDERAL LABOR GOVERNMENT ! And all for a few lousy green preferences. They are prepared to sell their souls and our recreation and livelihoods, for a few green preferences, just to stay in power and keep their snouts in the taxpayers trough!
So what is ECOfishers going to do with this information? Just you wait and see, bro !
