How could any Fisher vote for a Labor/Green government after reading this proposal. Notice the actual areas to be lockup will not be announced until after the election. Are we to learn our fate after they've collected our vote only to find our favourite fishing grounds have been decimated to appease the green party? After all have we not experienced this attitude by the state  Labor Party over marine parks. Promise plenty and then using our imput lockup the best fishing grounds.
Having failed to decimate the American Fishing industry the Pew Evironment Group found an easy touch in Australia and a receptive Garrett. This is not an environment issue it is about eliminating fishing!

ECOFISHERS STUMPS GREENS/LABOR.
Currently it is Science Week - tho the greens or the Labor party obviously don't know it! In a "phone the candidate a question," on the local ABC this morning, ECOfishers took advantage of Science Week, to phone the following question to both the Labor and greenie candidate.

QUESTION: "Name just one site specific scientific study (Tweed to Cape Byron) that demonstrates conclusively, fishing is a threat to our offshore marine biodiversity and ecosystems, and outlines specific management strategies, designed to address that threat. I'm not interested in irrelevant overseas studies or desk top computer models, - I've seen all those, and they are irrelevant to our area. And a brief comment from all other candidates please."

ANSWER: "Sorry I can't help you there. I am not aware of any!"

ECOfishers response: "No science - no support!"
HOW EMBARRASSING FOR LABOR/GREENS AND ON THE ABC TOO!
