" Horrified," was the predictable and anticipated response from the extreme green antifishing brigade. The same brigade who claimed there were only 300 Grey Nurse sharks left in the east coast population, a few years ago. Robust science proved (and confirmed what fishers already knew) them wrong again on that occasion. Why would the community believe them now on this occasion?  Fact is, they wouldn't and they don't!
Now the extremists are claiming Green Island & Fish Rock are GNS "breeding grounds." Ho hum! Sounds a bit like their claim that their marine park sanctuary zones are nesting boxes for fish!

Local radio featured a SW rocks dive operator objecting to the decision,he was upset because he said  it was a political. Has not  ecofishers called marine parks political parks for the last seven years? For longer than that Fishers have complained banning fishing is not the solution and so called protection areas established based on politics. Have the greens and operators with a financial interest just woken up? It took a while.

Yeah Spiney. slpw learners that extreme anti-fishing bunch. That diver bloke has had exclusive use of that area and making big quids and hates sharing anything. Wonder what he's like if he ever has to share a regulator with onre of his bubble brigade. They still reckon the sky will fall in! I checked today and it was still there.
