MACKEREL @ NIGHT?

ECOfishers has had a request from an interested recreational fishers, about catching Spotties or Baries, at night. Personally, we've had some success slow trolling fluro or lumo lures, for hours. Usually, the plugs oil up though. Our best nights have been full moon or near full moon nights, but our success has been limited compared to early morning and late afternoon sessions. We hope our enquirer isn't concerned about the colour of the water, which may force him to be a nocturnal mackerel fisher? If so, it is very sad when recreational fishers have to resort to nocturnal antics, to harvest a feed of highly migratory mackerel!
The sooner we can all change this ridiculous nonsense, this marine park madness, the better for NSW recreational fishers.
Any other suggestions or ideas from out there? Live bait should still work at night. Any experience out there?

We can't even acquire them at night, from the local Fishermens' Co-op. It's shut! Has anyone tried that "Glow Bait" product?

Sorry mate. It appears no one else has caught a mackerel at night or they aren't prepared to share their techniques Live baiting would still work well, even after dark.
