ECOfishers represented local recreational fishers in Harrington previously and in 2005. ECOfishers represented the local receational fishers again at North Haven a year or two ago now about the Grey Nurse shark issue. ECOfishers will be there, representing NSW recreational fishers and on the Manning too.
Woodie, try our ECOfishers general page, where you will find an item titled "welcome to ECOfishers." There is plenty of information about our statewide organization, here on our website.

by they way it is a good game, kids love it but not as much as being down beach, catching a worm pippi, or watching me catch a few shovel nose sharkes or what ever gets on line, they get a buzz just to see what it is.

One presenter was missing. Carmel Tebbutt, minister for marine parks, phoned a belated apology to ECOfishers, on the afternoon of the rally. The more than 800 strong crowd, which packed the auditorium, was very disappointed at her no show. That explains the gap among the presenters, sitting on the podium.
The stage looked fantastic. The crowd loved it. Everyone went away happy. And it was all due to the tireless efforts of our Mid North Coast ECOfishers and our recreational fishers from Laurieton and environs. Thank you again folks, for a memorable and great event.

Would someone kindly name the "famous fishos," on the stage from left to right. They are widely and well known among NSW recreational fishers, but some of our city cousins wouldn't have a clue who these representatives are.

Can we presume this response refers also, to the ECOfishers representations, concerning our South West Rocks rally, with 635 angry recreational fishers signing our attendance register? ECOfishers called for an independent, site specific, scientific investigation, into the justification of all current marine park zonings. The meeting too, totally rejected the NPA's call for more, NSW government marine parks BEFORE 2010.
