Subject: LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Sir,

I was born in this country and state and at an early age commenced recreational fishing. At first I was told what size fish I was allowed, latter how many I was allowed and what gear I was allowed to use.Then I was told I needed a licence to fish or gather bait and how much bait I was allowed to collect. Now it appears I am going to be told where I can or can't fish.

But spare a thought for those who may be considering a coastal holiday or a lifestyle seachange. Perhaps they need to reconsider as there are minority groups out there who apparently want to own and/or control the oceans and don't want anyone to use or enjoy them.

Gee I'm glad we live in a democracy where the majority elect governments to govern because I can't imagine how terrible it must be to live in a dictatorship.Then again maybe I can.
