Welcome to the ECOfishers ranks David Lockwood! What took you so long to come aboard? Is it the fact that the green threat is now literally in your own backyard that  you have shed the apathy?

David Lockwood raises another important point as far as I am concerned. And that is the "foreign twang," he refers to. Just listen to the spokespeople from NCC No Credibility Council) NPA etc and lots of them have foreign accents. As a dinkum Aussie, I turn off straight away when some greenie with a foreign accent starts telling me what I must do here, or we will all be doomed! They lose me instantly. I don't even hear the message which is usually fairy - tale stuff anyway. Anyone else share this view?

....and the first "fight'" starts with the greenies on the north coast. They are planning some street theatre by way of a demonstration for the Xmas tourist crowds for their Bundjalung marine park. (Bundjalung is the aboriginal name for the area.). By the way, Byron Bay has a severe outbreak of bed-bugs in holiday accommodation. So severe 23 premises were fumigated today with a lot more still to be done. Where the hell did they come from? Backpackers at Bondi? So please don't tell anyone. It might keep  some of the annual 1.8 million tourists away - though those numbers are down 20% since Labor's Political Park.

CEO, do you have a reference for the 20% fall in tourism?  I think I can use that in my next letter to the editor, but I always like to supply a reference so the tree huggers who invariably respond can't dispute the facts.

Thanks.
