Goodness gracious me! The hide, the cheek, the temerity of those people, to write to the paper setting the record straight, about those government marine parks, that only target fishing and don't protect anything!
And two from Fisheries Minister Macdonald's own electorate! Looks like he might be starting to be on the nose out there too. Maybe that is why he has announced he may not complete his full term in the Upper House. That is, he may go before the 2011 election. Don't get too excited. The Labor Party then "appoints" another Labor member in his place. That's the protocol!
A pretty good representative sample of responses considering those are only a sample of what they would have received. Stand by for any response from the greenies and be ready to respond!
The Telegraph won't print two from the same authors in the same month. So I've done my bit for the cause in the Tele for this month.
PS Why use a groper in the photo?

ECOfishers doesn't post anything they can't substantiate. We rest our case.

Where did the rest of this topic go?  I'm sure it was locked last night, with about 12-15 replies (where things did get a little animated, I must admit), wasn't it?

CEO, you are more than welcome to your opinion of ANSA (or any other body that is not affiliated with ECOfishers).  I personally can't see anything in John's comments that would lead you to post that they are "out of touch with the science and mainstream recreational fishing families" (your quote from the other topic).  Maybe I'm biased in the other direction.  I would suggest though that a lot of "mainstream" anglers support the idea of protection of the environment through Marine Parks, but oppose recreational anglers being locked out without a specific scientific basis.  Happy to continue a civilised discussion on this.
