Maniak we don't think it is even a little hypocritical. The last thing we would want to see would be half a dozen, or more, commercial fish traps dotted around each artifiial reef. I am not allowed, by law, to "interfere" with commercial fishing gear. And we respect that. Similarly, we don't want commercial fishers to "intefere" with our fishing gear. We reckon that's fair and the commercial fishers at the consultation meeting agreed. Besides there should be more traditional grounds available for commercial fishers with rec fishers fishing around these artificial reefs. Maniak, we always respect your personal views and contributions.

  ECOfishers latest advice from Cardno Ecology Lab (the consultants) 10/12/08, is that we can expect to receive a summary of all stakeholder comments, from Newcastle Sydney and Wollongong, before Christmas. ECOfishers will post the summary, for your information, as soon as it is received.
